TIP OF THE WEEK: Remember that you can check the Early Filing box on the FCC Form 486 if you have your FCDL, your services start in the month of July, and you can accurately make all of the certifications required on the form. After July 31, you are not eligible for early filing and you should not check this box.
Commitments for Funding Years 2018 and 2017
Funding Year 2018. USAC is scheduled to release Funding Year (FY) 2018 Wave 7 Funding Commitment Decision Letters (FCDLs) on May 25. As of May 18, FY2018 commitments total just over $870 million.
Funding Year 2017. USAC released Wave 55 FCDLs on May 15. As of May 18, FY2017 commitments total just over $2.29 billion.
In the May 4, 2018 edition of the SL News Brief, we reported that Wave 53 was scheduled for May 11 and would include some of the hurricane relief applications filed during the Second FY2017 Application Window. Please note that Wave 53 was canceled due to a system issue and the commitments were processed in Wave 54.
On the date that FCDLs are issued, you can access your FCDL notification from the Notifications section of your landing page in the E-rate Productivity Center (EPC).
