1. Certify an invoice for Funding Year (FY) 2017 recurring services.
2. Request an invoice deadline extension for FY2017 recurring services.

Commitments for FY2018

FY2018. USAC released FY2018 Wave 29 Funding Commitment Decision Letters (FCDLs) on October 25. As of October 26, FY2018 commitments total over $1.85 billion.

On the date that FCDLs are issued, you can access your FCDL notification from the Notifications section of your landing page in the E-rate Productivity Center (EPC).

Get Ready for Tribal Training

This fall, USAC will host Tribal training in three locations:

  • Omaha, Nebraska on November 13 at Creighton University
  • Farmington, New Mexico (date and venue to be announced)
  • Spokane, Washington (date and venue to be announced)

The training in Omaha will be the first of the series. The session for Tribal applicants will be held the morning of Tuesday, November 13, and registrants have the option to sign up for the regularly scheduled fall applicant training (open to all applicants), which includes a beginner session the afternoon of November 13 and a regular session with breakouts for beginners and advanced program participants on Wednesday, November 14. You can register for the session(s) of your choice by clicking here.

The full-day sessions in Farmington and Spokane will be focused on Tribal training and information for beginners. We are working on identifying dates and specific venues, and we hope to announce these shortly. Please note that, if you register for one of these sessions now, we will follow up with you when we have determined the date and venue for that session.

Service Providers: Do Not Use Internet Explorer 10 to Log In to E-File

Starting November 1, 2018, Internet Explorer version 10 will no longer be a supported browser for logging in to the E-File system. Current users now receive a message that this browser version will not be supported when they try to log in, but they are allowed to continue. On November 1, they will still receive a message but will not be allowed to continue.

Internet Explorer version 11 will work with E-File, as will current versions of other common browsers. Other functions on the USAC website – such as the online SPI Form – will continue to allow access by earlier versions of common browsers.

Order Grants Invoice Deadline Relief Due to Hurricane Michael

Order DA 18-1101 grants a waiver of the Commission's E-rate invoicing rules to assist schools and libraries located in the areas affected by Hurricane Michael, which made landfall in early October 2018.

The order finds good cause to waive the invoice deadline extension rule and grants a 120-day extension of the invoice deadline (even if not requested) until February 26, 2019 for schools and libraries located in areas of Florida and Georgia that have been designated as Major Disaster Areas eligible for Individual Assistance for the purposes of federal disaster relief by FEMA. These entities are still eligible to request a one-time extension of the February 26, 2019 deadline provided in the order, if necessary.
