TIP OF THE WEEK: Now would be a good time to work on completing your invoicing activities for FY2017 if you have not finished them. For most program participants, the deadline for submitting invoices for FY2017 non-recurring services is January 28, 2019, and the extended deadline for submitting invoices for FY2017 recurring services (if you timely requested and received an extension approval) is February 26, 2019.
Commitments for Funding Year 2018
Funding Year 2018. USAC released Funding Year (FY) 2018 Wave 33 Funding Commitment Decision Letters (FCDLs) on November 21 and Wave 34 FCDLs on November 30. As of November 30, FY2018 commitments total over $1.93 billion.
On the date that FCDLs are issued, you can access your FCDL notification from the Notifications section of your landing page in the E-rate Productivity Center (EPC).
Update on FY2019 FCC Form 471 Bulk Upload Templates
USAC is again providing templates that will allow FCC Form 471 filers to upload Category One and Category Two service information in bulk to their applications. The templates are available on the USAC website and will be available in EPC when the application filing window opens.
Applicants with large numbers of eligible services and/or large numbers of recipients of service can prepare funding request data by completing the appropriate bulk upload template(s) and then uploading the data to their FCC Form 471 at a later date.
Please note the following:

The template for Voice Services has been removed. Starting with FY2019, voice services are no longer eligible for discounts.

The Internal Connections template has been updated, and now includes the drop-down menu options that will be available on the FY2019 FCC Form 471. You should not use earlier versions of this template to start entering your information for FY2019.

The templates for Data Transmission and/or Internet Access, Basic Maintenance of Internal Connections, and Managed Internal Broadband Services have not changed. Consequently, their version numbers remain the same as last year.

December Webinar: Preparing for FY2019
Our webinar topic for December is Preparing for FY2019. This webinar is designed for applicants and service providers of all E-rate experience levels. During the webinar, the audience will have the opportunity to take part in a live question-and-answer session with members of the E-rate Program team where we will answer questions related to the webinar topic. The webinar will be held on Wednesday, December 12 at 3:00 p.m. ET.
