Commitments for Funding Year 2018
Funding Year 2018. USAC released FY2018 Wave 37 Funding Commitment Decision Letters (FCDLs) on December 20. As of December 22, FY2018 commitments total over $2.00 billion.
On the date that FCDLs are issued, you can access your FCDL notification from the Notifications section of your landing page in the E-rate Productivity Center (EPC).
E-rate Program Applicant Training Now Posted Online
USAC has developed a new, modernized suite of 14 applicant training courses which are designed to mirror the content delivered in the 2018 fall applicant training series. Applicants who were not able to attend the half-day beginner and full-day training sessions in Washington DC, Palatine IL, Sacramento CA, Omaha NE, and Atlanta GA can now access these sessions online.
To access this self-paced, modular training, go to the E-rate Program Training section of the Online Learning Library on USAC's website. Click the 2018 Applicant Training Series link to view the full series. Each training course is posted with a description of the training content, length of training module and the recommended E-rate participant experience level.
USAC is currently developing a similar online training series for service providers. We will announce the release of this new service provider training course when it is available online in early 2019.
Focus on Participant Experience
In last week's SL News Brief, USAC provided information regarding E-rate participants with open cases, letting them know that they may require a change in reviewers once USAC transitions to its new vendor for E-rate business process operations at the end of this month. As a reminder, if you have a form or open request that is currently under review and will not be resolved by the end of this year, USAC will be reaching out to you. If you do not have a form or open request under review, you do not need to take any action. If you have a future request, create a case in EPC and your request will be assigned to a member of the new team.
We appreciate the support and cooperation of the E-rate community as we work with our new vendor on these adjustments.
