TIP OF THE WEEK: Remember to check the Early Filing box on the FCC Form 486 if you have your Funding Commitment Decision Letter (FCDL), your services have not yet started but will start in the month of July, and you can accurately make all of the certifications required on the form. After July 31, you are no longer eligible for early filing and you should not check this box.

Commitments for Funding Years 2019 and 2018

Funding Year 2019. USAC released Funding Year (FY) 2019 Wave 8 Funding Commitment Decision Letters (FCDLs) on June 13. As of June 14, FY2019 commitments total over $898 million.

Funding Year 2018. USAC released FY2018 Wave 58 FCDLs on June 13. As of June 14, FY2019 commitments total over $2.20 billion.

On the date that FCDLs are issued, you can access your FCDL notification from the Notifications section of your landing page in the E-rate Productivity Center (EPC).

Registration for Fall 2019 Applicant and Tribal Training Opens

Earlier this week, USAC opened registration for its fall 2019 E-rate Program applicant training sessions. These sessions will be held around the country in September, October, and November. One more November training session, to be announced soon, will likely take place in the southeast.

  • The two-day sessions will start with an optional half-day afternoon session targeted to beginners, followed by a full-day training for everyone that includes separate breakout sessions for beginners and for more advanced users.
  • Three of the dates will include content of particular interest to Tribal applicants. See the schedule below for more information.

Please note that registration for some dates is already full. Participants can register for the waitlist for those events. The sold out dates are listed under the Event Registration heading but preceded by the word "Waitlist." We will contact registrants to confirm their registration and, as slots open up,  admit people from the waitlist as we are able to do so.

  • September 16 – 17: Washington, DC - Waitlist
  • September 19 – 20: Washington, DC - Waitlist
  • September 23 – 24: Farmers Branch, TX
  • October 2 – 3: Palatine, IL
  • October 16 – 17 (morning Tribal session October 16): Vancouver, WA
  • October 22 – 23: North Branch, NJ
  • October 31 – November 1: San Marcos, CA
  • November 19 (Tribal only session): Tahlequah, OK
  • November 21 (Tribal only session): Farmington, NM

Registration for Summer 2019 Service Provider Training Continues

Registration for service provider training in August is now full. Participants can still register for the waitlist on the registration page. This year, the training will take place at USAC's offices in Washington, DC. There will be two training sessions – August 5-6 and August 8-9 – each covering the same material.

Training and other informational sessions for the High Cost, Lifeline, and Rural Health Care Programs and the Contributors section will be held on Wednesday, August 7, between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. EDT. We will provide a final schedule for these Wednesday sessions within the next few weeks.
